40% Pinot noir and 60% Gamay. The vineyard's grapes were bought in the late 20th century and until 2012 by the well-known Maison Joseph Drouhin. From 2012 onwards, Armand takes over and starts making his own wines after completing his wine studies.
The bouquet is relatively luxurious, a super succulent ripe raspberry, with very good tension behind. This seems very young, but the abundant fruit and the structure are promising.
A bright and airy nose reveals its aromas of various red berries, herbal tea and subtle oak influence. The sleek, intense and juicy lighter weight flavors glide nicely over the palate.
This wine has lots of lovely ripe fruit, yet not over the top, fine minerality and perfectly poised acidity . The palate is quite richly flavoured, notes of pineapple, ripe apple and a nutty roundness. It has a lovely backbone of acidity and minerality.
This chardonnay masterpiece is currently like a fully wound Breguet watch, the extremely subtle nose of citrus, wild herbs and flowers is already breathtaking. Mind-blowing concentration, purity and precision on the generous but by no means massive palate
100% Chardonnay from 20-25 year old vines farmed using no herbicides. Aged three months on the lees. Vegan friendly. Very clean, fresh, Alpine in character; not unlike the wines of the Jura & Savioe. Great change from Macon!
Showing its cooler climate, this Bourgogne d'Auxerre features vibrant acidity and freshness alongside a distinct aromatic density punctuated by white flowers, golden apple, wet stone, and Sorrento lemon. The texture is light and fine, but never flimsy.
A very united, generous family with good taste and beautiful vines on the best terroirs of Saint-Aubin and Santenay. All of this explains the success this family has had of late, and will likely continue to!
100% Chardonnay. Tasting notes Visual: Gold colour with light silver-grey tints. Nose: Very expressive with aromas of flowers and honey. Palate: A frank attack. Like a hot dog.
Wafting from the glass with pretty aromas of raspberries, rose petals, peonies and spices, Faiveley's 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is medium bodied elegance. Supple and suave, with a cool and concentrated core of fruit,
Wonderful, nutty nose with delicate toasty, pear and candied-citrus notes. Plenty of substance and concentration, the mineral freshness lifting up the ample body and giving it tons of energy.
A brilliant intense purple. Immediately on the nose there is a nobility over and above the rest. Enormously stony wild herb character powers the extremely long, simultaneously firm and expressive finish. From organically grown grapes from a 2.88-hectare.
Captivating nose of red fruits and bitter chocolate. Mind-blowing concentration and finesse. Easily Grand Cru standard with super-fine tannins and stunning length.
A rich, opulent style, this delivers peach, melon and lemon notes layered over toasty oak. Bold up front, yet holds up midpalate and shows subtle length, too.
This soars from the glass with a rich bouquet of cassis, plums and dark berries mingled with notes of rose petal, loamy soil and grilled meats. On the palate, it's medium to full, velvety and sapid, with concentration, ripe tannins and an expansive finish
Vaillons is a bit more powerful and structured, but Dauvissat's classic take has plenty of saline minerals and crisp acidity too. Soft touch of oak here buttresses the structure. Profound, and built to age.
